After seeing the new Altar and Font, the Verger of the time, Barbara Willer, and her Son Tony Willer decided to commission a Paschal Candle to match in with them. The existing metal one was always in danger of being knocked over due to its flimsy design.
The makers of the Altar and Font, were asked to fashion the design to match.
